(How to use this database)
From Table of Contents, you can access to all the pages of al-khiṭaṭ (image data) from the contents of twenty volumes.
From Search, you can search both “Cairo” (from Vol. 1 to Vol.7) and “Famous Towns and Villages” (from Vol.8 to Vol. 17) by free word search and name of place (such as شارع), title of person (such as امام), and institution (such as مسجد). As for the volumes of “Famous Towns and Villages,” you can search names of governorate and markaz and school of Islamic law (madhhab) of ‘ulama. The search words were basically taken from index of each volume but also were partly chosen from its text.
