This database builds up with images and texts.
You may reach the data of two ways: using the Search menu or Index. The figure below shows the structure.
Enter a search phrase in the search box then click SEARCH. You can search by either Arabic alphabet or Latin character
The matched keyword will be shown in red. However the keyword in red will be exact match only including capital letters, lower case and with/without a symbol. For example, if search by “arabic”, matched “arabic” will be shown in red but “Arabic” will not be shown in red.
As indicated below, the search result will be shown by matched keyword and a few lines before and after. On the right side, links of the corresponding Text No. and the image will be displayed.
By clicking the number on the right side of the result, the body text of the catalogue will be displayed as below.
By clicking “image” after displaying the body text or clicking the number on the right side of the result, the original image will be displayed as below.
Changing the size of the image and moving from page to page are possible.
Click “If image is not displayed, click here” at the bottom of the page, if the image is not displayed. Depending on the browser used, especially the TIFF file format for large-sized image, will not be displayed well.
Index is as follows:
By clicking the Manuscript NO. or Text NO. on the list, the corresponding body text of the catalogue will be displayed.
By clicking the manuscript number shown as “Ms...” or the text number enclosed by [ ], the corresponding body text will be displayed on the right.
By clicking “image” the actual image of the material will be displayed.
As explained in Search section, changing the size of the image and moving from page to page are possible.
Operation check of Firefox, Netscape and IE for Windows and Mac by the newest version of each browser has done for this database. If the used browser does not display images well, download the newest version from linked below.
